Blog Note:

Blog Note: I will be using "The Burton Blog" for documenting and remembering events with our family. I've created another blog to capture all my random adventures (crafting, decorating, cooking, etc.) that are not necessarily family related. Check it out in my 'Link List' in the right hand side bar.

.:It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas:.

While the hubby is away... the mouse played!
Well, I decorated I mean :)
First up, our stockings hung up with care!
If you look really hard you can see our one and only
tiny Nativity set. I need to get a bigger one for sure.

Jake's mom always has fun candy jars for every holiday
so I totally stole her idea and did our very own Christmas candy table :)

 The Christmas card holder/wreath.
I am ready, so send them my way :)
PS: presents accepted as well! LOL! JK

My sis-in-law Angie did these cute paper balls
for one of her girls B-Day parties earlier this year.
Yep, stole another idea... Christmas version

Gave into the OWL craze hitting everything you see this year.
Just one ornament, that is all.
If I had a little girl right now, her room would definatley
be all the cute owl stuff out right now!

Oh Christmas tree! Oh Christmas tree!

 Made this wreath.
Step 1: Buy plain wreath
Step 2: Wire tie favorite ornaments
Ta-Da!

 Ho-Ho-Hope you have a
 great Ho-Ho-Holiday!

.:Recent Recreational Activities:.

This summer/fall was filled with some fun recreational activities:

Spending time with the pups on the lawn.

Hiking up Skyline Trail in N. Ogden.
This is overlooking Ogden Valley (Eden/Huntsville)
where Jake grew up and his mom still lives.
Notice I am wearing my stupid glasses... :(
I had an ulcer on my right cornea so I could not wear
my contacts for a few weeks. It sucked hiking in my glasses!

Teryn and Craig joined us on this particular outing :)

Below are several pics from a Burton family outing:
Target shooting up in Huntsville.
We have 6 nieces and 1 nephew (+1 nephew due Jan)
on Jake's side of the family :)
None on my side yet.

Jessica and little Evie

Kelli and Mason
Kennedi did some shooting too,
but I must have missed getting a pic of her...

Kelli and Tayler

Zach and Macie

We took the dogs. Elle wasn't thrilled about it...

Mason, Kennedi, Kiyah, & Tayler

Macie. She is our little firecracker, that is for sure!

Adam and Tayler trying out the 22 pistol

More Hiking:
Jake had 3 hunts to get in shape for, so we did a lot of hiking.
These are taken up above S. Ogden on Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Jake, Me, his mom Colleen, Maximus, Elle, & Bentley.

Ya... Umm... that's me.
What else can I say? :)

Elle ALWAYS thinks she is a lap dog, even on rest stops while hiking

The hiking paid off.
Jake was successful on 2 out of the 3 hunts he had tags for.
Especially since he only got to go on 2 of the 3!
I will post about his rifle "mishap" later :)

.:We're BACK!!!:.

Yep! We are back to the blogging world.
Did you miss us?

2011 has been quite the year, looking forward to a fresh new 2012.
We unfortunatley have had more downs than ups...
but here is some of the "awesome" ups
our little Burton bunch has been up to.

P.S. I know I cancelled my old blog, and I don't know how to restart it...sorry.

Ogden 1/2 Marathon: May 2011 "Awesomely" Exhausted!

Jake after his eye surgery after having rifle blow up in his face. BUT he got these "awesome" shades to take home

I graduated college. I shot my last text book with an "awesome" semi-auto rifle.

Went hiking a lot with Jake, our pups, and his mom this summer. "Awesome" family time!
We're back!!! Hope you can handle us again :)
